I have a fascination with these little Surf Life Saving buildings. These shots were taken on the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, and Fraser Coast in Queensland.
There is something that pulls at our elemental emotions when we see small but complete “houses” like this, especially against the wide open expances. There are summer houses in Sweden that give the same emotonal felling. they are on my list to photograph one day.
Those are pretty snazzy life-guard stands. Looks like you could almost live in that yellow two-story one. You did a great job capturing their characters.
Great shot – glad you thought to feature the ordinary -which looks spectacular. Guess I like the 2nd one best – with the yellow sunset and flowers – all the curving flowing lines and shades of nature contrasting the straight hard line manmade structure..and the “no’s”

Lovely set of photographs. I’m always partial to B&W photos but I like how the ones that appear to have been color saturated turned out.
I am usually known for my bold, bright colours, but like to dabble in B&W occasionally.
